Capital Campaign Update
The $1.3 million Capital Campaign to renovate St. Martin de Porres' new home has gotten off to a great start! As we look forward to our second academic year on the site of the former St. Joseph Parish in Waukegan, more than $850,000 has been raised in less than a year's time. Thank you to all SMdP benefactors who have already supported this campaign in such a significant way.

It's truly amazing what has been accomplished in one year's time. The renovated academic building, Gorter Family Foundation science classrooms and new chapel are just some of the campus improvements which have enhanced our students' academic and spiritual life, not to mention their sense of pride in having a campus all their own.

This important campaign will continue during the 2007-2008 school year.

How You Can Help
There are many areas in which our school and students benefit from monetary contributions. Most importantly, more than 60% of our school families rely on tuition assistance to attend

St. Martin de Porres. This does not include the fraction which is covered in the Corporate Internship Program. As our enrollment grows, we will need additional monies to provide our students with this incredible opportunity. In order to maintain and foster a successful learning environment for our students, we welcome your many gifts.

Annual Fund
The annual fund helps with the general operations of the school. Gifts can be made for:

  > Tuition Assistance

Gifts can be made to help with renovation, equipment and technology, and new construction. Gifts can be made at one time or for a period of years.

Levels of Giving view

Planned Gifts
Major Gifts can be made through bequest provisions in a will, charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts, life insurance and retirement plan assets.

Endowment
A gift can be made in which the principal is never used, only the interest generated. As our endowment grows, more dollars will be available to help our students fund their own education.

Memorials/Tributes
Individuals can create a lasting remembrance of a loved one or honor a specific person.

Events
Dinner Dances, golf outings, and other special events are held throughout the year to benefit the students of St. Martin de Porres High School.
