Student Life //
Campus Ministry
The Campus Ministry Program works to create and support the
ongoing process of Christian formation at Saint Martin de Porres
High School. We provide a program which incorporate religious
beliefs and values into everyday student life through services,
programs, and activities for participation by the entire Saint
Martin de Porres community.
Retreats:
Saint Martin de Porres High School offers a wide variety of retreats
for all grade levels. Each grade level makes a required retreat with
their class as a whole. We offer Freshmen and Senior retreats in the
Fall Semester and Sophomore and Junior Retreats in the Spring
Semester.
We also offer several optional retreats for all grade levels:
-
Quest Retreat Available to Freshmen and
Sophomores
Quest is an overnight Christian retreat for students in the 9th and
10th grade. Students who have attended an earlier Quest retreat lead
it. On Quest you will learn more about yourself, your relationships
with family and friends and your relationship with God.
-
Bridges Retreat Available to Sophomores
and Juniors
Bridges is an overnight Christian retreat for students in grades 10
and 11. The students discuss prejudice, stereotypes and practical
ways that they can fight racism and work for social justice in our
communities and world.
-
Kairos Retreat Available to Juniors and
Seniors
Kairos is a 4 day, 3 night retreat for students in the 11th and 12th
grade. On Kairos students will learn more about themselves, their
relationships with family and friends and their relationship with
God.
Liturgies/Prayer Services
Campus Ministry plans and coordinates monthly school masses or
prayer services for the school community. Students are encouraged to
be involved in the planning of these events and are invited to
participate as readers, Eucharistic Ministers, etc. |
