Cristo Rey Jesuit High School never should have opened. St. Martin de Porres HS receives  $25,000 from Bears Care

On December 23, 2007 during a pre-game ceremony prior to the Chicago Bears-Green Bay Packers game, Bears Care presented a check for $25,000 to Fr. Charles Bolser, C.S.V. and freshman Ramses Diaz. Funding from Bears Care will support its scholarship program. Bears Care Director Marge Hamm presented the check to St. Martin de Porres High School as part of the organization’s ongoing commitment to improving the quality of life for people, especially disadvantaged children and their families, in the Chicagoland community.

Bears Care is the charitable beneficiary of the Chicago Bears Football Club. The Chicago Bears have a longstanding tradition of supporting numerous charities and assisting those in need. In 1995, the Chicago Bears formalized its charitable organization through the creation of Bears Care, as a fund partner of the McCormick Tribune Foundation.
