Thank you for considering St. Martin de Porres (SMdP) high school. The goal of our Admissions Office is to promote and maintain a student body with diverse educational abilities, as well as diverse geographic, ethnic, racial and socio-economic backgrounds. This is best accomplished when prospective students learn as much as possible about SMdP, and SMdP learns as much as possible about our prospective students.
Incoming Freshman/Transfer Student Information:
The Admissions intake process at SMdP includes the completion and collection of all application documents (file), and an interview. You may either download the application documents or pick up copies at the Admissions Office. SMdP does not require an entrance exam. Outlined below is the information the Admissions Office must receive in order to process an application.

Completed Application—All sections of the application must be completed. The application must be signed by the applicant and parent and returned with a non-refundable $25.00 application fee before your application can be processed. view application

Report Cards (from previous two years) –Entering freshmen must present completed report cards (grades) from middle/junior high school. Transfer Students—Transfer student applicants must submit grades from current high school (previous two years).

Standardized Test Scores (from previous two years). This includes transfer students.

- School Discipline Report
- Consent to Release Records Form
- The student must be fourteen years old by August 1st
- Birth Certificate
- A copy of the applicant’s Social Security card
- A completed I-9 Form
- Photo of applicant
- An essay completed by applicant
- A completed Enrollment Office Survey
Once all the above documents are completed and collected in SMdP Enrollment Office, the applicant file will be reviewed for initial eligibility. Students who qualify will go on to the next phase of the enrollment intake process and will be invited to interview along with their parents. Interviews will be held the third week of February and the third week of May. The Admissions Committee will meet soon after the interview weekend to review the applications and determine final admission. Decision Letters are mailed out by the end of the following month. All incoming students are required to attend the mandatory one week Training Institute during the summer.
